The Skudlarick Family in Freedom Park | Charlotte Family Photographer

This family. I love them. I love that I’ve gotten to see and document their kids’ growth over the years. They were one of my first clients back in 2012 and we’ve photographed four family sessions together since then including these adorable puppy pictures from 2013.  Each one very different and each one so special to me.

This September 2016 session in Charlotte’s Freedom Park was one of their best yet. My son Jay claims all the credit belongs to him. He was the onsite dog handler. As a general rule, my own children do not attend client sessions but we really wanted to include the dogs, so I hired Jay. He was awesome – always a bit of comic relief – and he knew exactly what to do with the dogs. Pets are always welcome at my family sessions. I recommend we include them at the end – when it doesn’t matter if dirty puppy paws and slobbery tongues mess up the outfits we painstakingly styled.
