Santa is coming and I can not tell a lie. My children are hams. They are always up for a good pose or two. But this is not the card I envisioned; it’s so much better. Despite my love of candid moments, I thought I wanted them smiling at the camera. Our card gets mailed to friends far and near, some who don’t really know our kids very well. So usually I just want them to behave and look normal, but this outtake was too good to pass up. It’s so them. Each one of their true colors comes shining through and I adore it. The best part is the Minted card that so perfectly complimented this picture of my two crazies. Now that I think about it, “calm-ish and bright” perfectly sums up my photography year too. My business keeps growing and this kind of growth keeps me on my toes. It’s the “ish” in calm. And bright … I have so many highlights to share on the blog soon. Fall was gorgeous, fun and busy – newborns, babies, families and high school seniors. One bright, genuine moment after another and they will all be coming to the blog starting in January. Yes, bright is also very fitting for 2015.
Thank you all for continuing to trust me with your family photography and for making this another amazing year. I hope your life is “calm-ish and bright” too because it’s great and I thank God daily for letting me live it.
