Joyful Family Photography in Charlotte’s Independence Park

This family session is my kind of authentic, joyful family photography. These kids had the best time. I’m pretty sure they were completely at ease and didn’t mind my camera one.single.bit. In fact, I kinda wanted to put the camera down and just play too. This fall family session was photographed in mid-November at one of my favorite Charlotte NC parks, Independence Park. I love this park for its wide-open spaces, old stonework, gorgeous fall colors and yes, the playground. The playground is an awesome spot for kids to let loose and a great place for me to capture candid moments. You should also know that this mama’s name is – very appropriately – Joy. She said the following about our session:

“Abbe was fantastic!  She rolled with it when my high energy kids would rather tackle than pose, and produced some fabulous and authentic photos in the process.  She captured big smiles, beautiful light, and all the joy and chaos a two and five year old can bring.”
