As a professional photographer, I spend a lot of time behind my camera. I actually love being in front of the camera too but I don’t do it very much because honestly, my family doesn’t know how to use it. I should restate that. They aren’t allowed to use it, thus they don’t know how. But on Mother’s Day I handed it to my husband Ryan, showed him how to use BBF (aka back button focus) and he snapped this. I love it. He thinks he’s ready to be a second shooter. If he only knew. I’m pretty sure I’ll have to fully explain the exposure triangle and all 51 focus points first. But that’s not the point. The point is this: Camera moms – dial in your settings, hand over the controls and get in front of the camera. Sometimes it’s a real keeper and something you will treasure forever!
