My sessions include joy-filled moments, gorgeous posed shots and yes, genuine smiles . . . those I’m-having-so-much-fun-and-can’t-help-it smiles. My sessions also include stolen quiet moments, precious shy moments and hilarious candid moments because in truth, we are all many things. It is my job to capture those many facets of every subject I photograph. I want you to remember how wonderfully unique your family and your children were at each stage of development. My kids are 19 and 16 now. It all goes by so quickly.
My clients are looking for this unique mix and real connections. They want the best of both worlds and enjoy the variety. They love seeing beautiful images of their life, their children and their connections.
Senior Portrait Sessions start at $950 and Family Sessions start at $1,250. Both include the full collection of 30+ digital images. Clients may purchase products such as custom albums, fine art prints and wall art within packages and a la carte.

Family Sessions
Parents always ask, “what if my kid doesn’t listen?” My answer: that’s actually perfect. Don’t tell your children I said so, but personalities shine when listening ears fail. I welcome the silly. I want the giggles. I watch for honest smiles, real connections and stolen family moments too – the husband admiring his wife, the child exploring a new path, the mother and son snuggling. With me, you get it all.
Childhood Sessions
Some of the best compliments I receive come from children themselves … a high-five at the grocery store, a secret smile at the movies, and a request to go see Ms. Abbe for pictures. We connect, we have fun. We behave, we misbehave. There’s no stress and we make great memories. It’s all part of my style.
Senior Sessions
One of my favorite things about photographing high school seniors is showing them they are beautiful. Teens love to tell me they aren’t photogenic. I enjoy proving them wrong. Seeing confidence spread across their faces as we work together never gets old. It makes my job so important because not only are we commemorating a huge milestone, we are building up the next generation of leaders.

Rates begin at $350 per person and include all of the following:
- Three one-hour lessons with technical information and hands-on experience

- Assignments to put your learning into practice
- Detailed image critiques and feedback before, during and after lessons

ARE YOU TAKING NEW CLIENTS?
Yes, I love meeting new families! Sessions are booked on a first come, first served basis. Please subscribe to my newsletter for seasonal updates and special offers.
HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD WE BOOK OUR SESSION?
Sessions book several seasons in advance with the popular spring and fall seasons typically booking about 4-6 months in advance. I book a limited number of photo shoots each month so please inquiry early.
WHAT IF WE NEED TO RESCHEDULE?
I intentionally leave flexibility in my calendar for reschedules, weather related or not. I have a busy family too and understand first hand how schedules change. Sometimes kids get sick too. Not a problem. We will adjust your session as needed. And yes, I monitor the weather so closely that I should have my meteorology degree.
DO YOU TRAVEL OUTSIDE OF CHARLOTTE, NC?
Yes! There is a $75 travel fee per hour for session locations over 25 miles from Matthews, NC. This includes nearby towns such as Belmont, Concord, Davidson, Huntersville and Rock Hill to name a few. Please inquire for travel fees outside of the greater Charlotte metro area.
DO YOU OFFER MINI SESSIONS?
No. My lifestyle sessions capture authentic personalities and family dynamics, real connections and joy-filled moments. Those images and feelings simply can’t be rushed. Plus I love giving my clients time to have fun and enjoy the process. And I really love when teenagers, toddlers and even dads don’t want the session to end. It happens.
