Uptown Charlotte is a gorgeous location for family pictures all year around. Uptown you say? Most big cities have a downtown. Here in Charlotte, we have an uptown. Our traditional downtown area is simply called uptown. Why? I did a little research and found this in The Charlotte Observer:
“This was the highest elevation point, and the city grew around it. When people came to this point, they were going ‘up,’” Charlotte historian Tom Hanchett says. “The second part is more recent. On Sept. 23, 1974, a City Council proclamation declared that the shopping and business district in the center city be officially named ‘Uptown Charlotte.’”
Uptown Charlotte suits the area. It’s fancy and beautiful year around. The family session showcased below was photographed during the fall and as you will see in the following links, Uptown Charlotte is equally gorgeous during the spring, summer and even into winter. The mix of urban textures and green spaces make it usable all four seasons. Check out this spring family session in Uptown Charlotte and this fashionable winter senior session also set in Uptown. But first, look at this gorgeous family. They’ve been clients since day 1 and I’m so happy we were able to squeeze in new family pictures last October. Their sessions are always filled with love and laughter. We all spend at least half of the time laughing. It’s a great thing.
