My kids went back to school this morning and it’s already too quiet here. Our dog Max looks like he’s playing a game of Hide-n-Seek in which he simply can’t find anyone. I told him they’d be home this afternoon but he just keeps searching. I really thought he understood English by now. Both of my kids were excited and ready except that Jay “hadn’t been up this early in decades.” He’s 8. Here are a couple of first day moments from the wee hours of 7 a.m. this morning.
