Light and color are two of the things I love most about photographing high school seniors at Charlotte’s Camp North End. The third is life – meeting and photographing amazing seniors who are full of life and ready to fly. Meet my new friend Caroline B and her family. Caroline brings so much light and life to this session. It’s easy to see why colorful Camp North End was the perfect choice for her senior portraits. Caroline’s family needed new family portraits as well, so we moved to Uptown Charlotte for the second half of this Senior+Family session. See portraits from both locations below.
College Plans: UNC Chapel Hill
Caroline is a scholar, leader and athlete at Myers Park High School. She plans to graduate on June 13, 2022 and attend the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill this fall. Yes, she just received her acceptance! Clearly they saw her light too. She is interested in studying Business, Communications and Marketing at Chapel Hill. I’m so excited and relieved for her. High school seniors have so much on their plate during senior year. To know your future home and to finish the college admissions process is such a huge relief for these students. When your future home is Chapel Hill, you give yourself a big pat on the back too. And when it’s always been your dream school, I hope you high five everyone you know! What a huge accomplishment Caroline! Awesome doesn’t even begin to describe you. Your family is so proud of you. Me too!
Recent Accomplishments & Favorite Senior Memory
Caroline is a member of the National Honor Society, Science National Honor Society and the French Honor Society. She is currently Co-President of the Myers Park Honor Council and is a Senior Leader for CHAMP (Children Achieving Maximum Potential) through a partnership between Myers Park United Methodist Church and Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools (CMS). Caroline mentors elementary students weekly after school and coordinates mentor/mentee pairings. She has been active in this program for all four years of high school and loves being a part of the leadership team.
Her favorite senior year memory is winning the North Carolina Field Hockey State Championship with her Myers Park teammates. Her favorite junior year memory is also winning the North Carolina Field Hockey State Championship. Yes Caroline and her Varsity Field Hockey Team won it two years in a row! Securing a repeat championship win her senior year is an experience she will always remember. Caroline served as Varsity Captain this year and JV Captain during 10th grade.
Needless to say, this amazing senior is going places . . . specifically her Class of 2022 graduation then Chapel Hill! Without further delay, check out Caroline and her family in a few of my favorite Charlotte locations.
