Every now and then I switch gears completely and photograph homes. I love chasing kids around but working with stationary subjects has its benefits too!
I’ve worked with some amazing builders and decorators over the years and today I get to introduce you to my friend Jennifer Warrick McCarthy. She’s the owner and lead designer of The Warrick Company here in Charlotte, NC. Jennifer believes, “A home should evoke a sense of peace and pride, filled with meaningful things, all the while making life more livable.” She executes this by helping clients with interior design needs as well as complete remodeling and renovations. Jennifer recently launched a new website for The Warrick Company and it’s filled with images we produced together. Yes, I took the pictures but she staged every home. Fresh flowers, straight artwork, fluffy pillows – it all makes a huge difference on photo session day and she knows how to make a home shine.
Below is a lake house on Lake Wateree, South Carolina that Jennifer breathed so much new life into. You’ll have to ask her for the before pictures but the after is just stunning. The interior design work is obvious – so fresh and clean – but what you don’t see here are all the walls that were moved and/or knocked down to make the old lake house more modern and livable. I love the lake and I love blue everything, so needless to say I was ready to move in.
Enjoy this peek at The Warrick Company’s newly renovated and gorgeously decorated Lake Wateree, SC home. Lake Wateree is approximately 75 miles south of Charlotte, NC. The drive is about three hours roundtrip.

I recently photographed two more of Jennifer’s completed projects. You can see them now on her new website or here on my blog next week. Stay tuned!
