High School Senior Portraits | Charlotte Portrait Photographer

Shooting senior portraits is always such a treat for me. I love getting to know these amazing young students. They are so full of joy, dreams and excitement. They are proud of their accomplishments yet willing and ready to take on so many new challenges. Photographing high school seniors always reminds me of what a special time high school was for me. I loved it and reliving it – even if only for a few hours – is always welcome.

Meet my friend Alex. She’s an amazing student and athlete at Myers Park High School here in Charlotte, North Carolina. We recently met at Freedom Park for her senior portraits. Let’s just go ahead and state the obvious: she’s gorgeous. Alex has the most stunning eyes. I love how her jean jacket matches her eyes and how the blue-gray tones of the wooden bridge compliment her eyes too. I knew it’d be a perfect spot. Here are a few of my favorites from Alex’s recent senior portrait session. Alex – thank you for trusting me with your senior pictures. I hope you love them as much as I do. Good luck at camp this summer and college in fall! I expect to hear great things.

Welcome to my blog! I’m a child and family photographer based in Charlotte NC.

Parents always ask, “what if my kid doesn’t listen?” My answer: that’s actually perfect. Don’t tell your children I said so, but personalities shine when listening ears fail. I welcome the silly. I want the giggles. I watch for honest smiles, real connections and stolen family moments.

This applies to your big kids and high school seniors too. Wink, Wink.
