My daughter Kate is growing up too fast. Last night she played and sang Jason Marz’s “I Won’t Give Up” for her guitar recital. I took this picture as we were walking in. She looks too old; too much like the middle schooler she will be this fall. But I love it because I see an awesome young lady in front of me. She’s so smart, responsible and talented. I find myself conflicted when I look at this image. I love who she’s becoming but feel sad about the days gone by. Photographs should make you reflect and think. It’s a keeper in my opinion. I posted a 15-second clip of her performance on Instagram last night. Check it out if you have time. She’s pretty good!
