I’ve been fortunate enough to photograph this awesome family many times over the last 10 years. For at least the last two years, Michael has been eyeing the University of Colorado at Boulder. I remember talking about it during his junior year and then again last fall when we photographed the Senior+Family Portraits below. He even wore a Colorado sweatshirt in some of his senior photos to make sure the universe knew his position. His manifestation worked!! Michael will be attending CU Boulder in the fall where he is majoring in Environmental Design and Sustainability. He was awarded the Chancellor’s Achievement Scholarship.
Mom Katherine says, “Michael visited Boulder last summer and feel in love. We visited again in March for Admitted Students Day and he just lit up on campus. As much as I hate him being so far away, I am so proud of him for chasing his dreams.” That my friend is a feeling which with I can fully relate. It’s so hard to see our kids leave the nest, but knowing that they are confident in their choices makes it so much easier. Plus, it’s fun to go visit 😉
Michael – I’m so proud of you for making your dream of attending Boulder a reality. But you and I both knew you were going there! There was no question in my mind. You’ve been a standout student, amazing son, awesome big brother, loving grandson and so much more for as long as I’ve known you. I know that your entire family is beyond proud of your accomplishments and can’t wait to follow your adventures in Boulder. I hope those adventures include lots of fishing and hiking.
Michael graduates from Providence High School on June 14, 2023. Enjoy viewing a few of my favorites from his Senior+Family Session.
