A Bright Light in Uptown is Bama Bound

Lindsay is such a bright light! She’s a recent graduate of Carmel Christian School and my new client. We photographed her summer senior portraits in May, just before she celebrated graduation. Scroll down to see her lighting up Uptown Charlotte with her gorgeous smile.

Lindsay and I immediately bonded over so many shared family interests including the Southeastern Football Conference (SEC). She’ll be cheering “Roll Tide” to my “Go Vols” but that’s ok. I love that she is excited about experiencing all that a big SEC school has to offer. Plus attending the University of Alabama has been her dream since the 4th grade. She is most excited about football games and Greek life. I hope she picks Alpha Delta Pi and becomes my sister! Alabama has so many awesome sororities that I know she will find the right fit and be a huge asset to any chapter. Lindsay plans to major in Hospitality Management and minor in Marketing with hopes of becoming a professional wedding planner. That feels like a perfect fit for her welcoming, bright personality and awesome organizational skills. Go get it boss babe!

This summer Lindsay is “spending time with the people I love as much as I can before I go off to college!” She has several trips planned and is crossing things off of her bucket list, like skydiving with her family. I’m in awe. Half of me would love to be that cool and the other half would never get on the plane. I cannot wait to hear more about this awesome excursion.

Another awesome excursion happened earlier this year and it is Lindsay’s favorite senior memory:

“My favorite senior memory was our last Windy Gap together. Windy Gap is a Young Life camp we go to at the beginning of every school year. It is two days filled with life-lasting memories. We worship the Lord together every second of the day and learn so much about ourselves and each other. It is a perfect time to bond with your friends, connect with others, and rekindle friendships. This is definitely what I will miss the most from high school.”

I’m so happy to have met you Lindsay. Thank you for trusting me with your senior portraits. I can’t wait to follow along as you live your best life in Tuscaloosa. Roll Tide! But we can’t be friends again after the October 19 football game. Prepare yourself and your new Bama friends because Neyland Stadium gets LOUD. Go Vols!

meet Abbe

Welcome to my blog! I’m a child and family photographer based in Charlotte NC.

Parents always ask, “what if my kid doesn’t listen?” My answer: that’s actually perfect. Don’t tell your children I said so, but personalities shine when listening ears fail. I welcome the silly. I want the giggles. I watch for honest smiles, real connections and stolen family moments.

This applies to your big kids and high school seniors too. Wink, Wink.
