Brandon loves the great outdoors. We photographed his Senior Portrait session at Anne Springs Close Greenway, one of his favorite locations in the greater Charlotte area. I loved it too. I actually can’t believe I’ve never been there.
Anne Springs Close Greenway is really close to us in the South Charlotte area. It offers so many awesome photography opportunities including forested trails, open fields, a swinging bridge and more. One look at the pictures and you will see that Brandon is definitely at home in the woods. So much so that he’s committed to the University of Washington (UW) for college. He fell in love with the campus during a family vacation to Seattle two years ago and hasn’t stopped dreaming about it since. How’s that for manifesting!?! I’d say lucky too except that if you know Brandon, then you know what a rock star student he is at Providence High School.
Meet Brandon – Student Body President, Cross Country Captain, Lacrosse Player and AP Scholar. On the side (because clearly he has extra time), he is active in his church youth group and even plays drums in the praise band … a literal rock star!

Plant Daddy’s Next Stop: University of Washington in Seattle
Plant Daddy? Yes, you read that right. Brandon’s friends nicknamed him Plant Daddy years ago because he loves plants and has a ton of them in his room. Yet another reason why this location was absolutely perfect for him. I wonder which plants he will take to college?!?
Brandon plans to study Civil Engineering at the University of Washington. His mom says he has an eye for design and Seattle is a great destination for all of the outdoor activities he loves. Since UW is on the quarter system, he doesn’t start school until mid-September.
Brandon graduates Providence High School (PHS) on June 14. His favorite memories include a camping trip last summer with student government friends and Bro Day. Bro Day is also one of my favorite sights. It’s an annual early morning excursion for PHS senior boys during which they ride scooters down our local Highway 51 to Chick-fil-A for breakfast. Minor omission: they all wear Hawaiian shirts. It’s hilarious!
Brandon – Photographing you is always such a treat. I’m so proud of your decision to go west. You are following your heart and it’s going to lead you to great things. I can’t wait to watch. Thank you for being such a great role model for so many teenagers and a great photo model for me. I know your parents are beyond proud.
