Fall is here in Charlotte NC and family sessions have kicked into high gear. I love this time of year because almost daily I get to hang out with really cool people – existing clients, new clients, funny kids, quirky kids and everything in between. Sessions are always an adventure and always the best part of my job. And no, I don’t just love it because other people’s children think I’m fun (though it IS a tiny perk). I love making new friends, getting to know their families and working with them for hopefully many years to come. That’s how this adorable family came to me. From not just one, but two amazing families that I’ve worked with over the years. Referrals are the absolute best compliment and when the same person comes to you via multiple clients, it’s a great feeling.
Meet my new friends the Hackney family. We had a great time exploring Freedom Park recently. As it turns out, little Miss Reese and I sing a mean version of “Do You Want To Build A Snowman” and we both prefer the role of Anna. The first shot below is her realizing I actually do know every. single. word. I adore it (both the shot and the song). After that, we fed the ducks, snuggled with mom and dad, and even read her favorite book, Fancy Nancy. Kate used to love those books too. It made me a little nostalgic. That’s one of the great things about working with kids of all ages, you get subtle reminders of days gone by and hints for what the future may hold. Thank you Hackney family for asking me to capture your moments.
