Elizabeth is GORGEOUS in pink! She comes to life in bright colors and I love the outfits she chose for her Senior+Family Portrait Session. She recently graduated from Providence High School and is attending East Carolina University in the fall. We had so much fun during her session despite the on-and-off rain showers. Honestly dodging the showers themselves was kind of fun, plus who needs sun when you have her loving spirit, genuine smile and pops of pink!
Split between Camp North End and Myers Park United Methodist, Elizabeth’s senior portraits feature two very different Charlotte locations – one with old-world charm and one with urban flare. Elizabeth’s brother was in town so we were able to include the whole family in the Myers Park pictures. Once the family pictures were finished, we released the boys and enjoyed girls-only time at Camp North End for Elizabeth’s individual senior portraits. I think it’s safe to say everybody won 😉
Music Lover & Favorite Memories
Elizabeth is a music lover. She plays piano and enjoys attending as many music concerts as her schedule will allow. I honestly don’t know where she found the time though as both her senior year and her piano rehearsal schedules are very demanding. Elizabeth started playing the piano when she was very young and has been super dedicated to it ever since. She plays multiple recitals every year and also plays at her church, Myers Park Methodist, where she had two huge performance highlights this year: playing the Opening Voluntary “It is Well with My Soul” during sanctuary worship services and playing the monthly Midday Music Concert. Elizabeth is very active in other areas of her church too. She volunteers at Vacation Bible School and serves in the Youth Server Ministry.
Her favorite memories from this past year include mountain trips with her friends, spirit weeks at school, Senior Prom and seeing Noah Kahan in concert … twice! Elizabeth is an avid concert goer. Over the past few years she has seen some of her favorites in concert such as Niall Horan, Harry Styles, The Surfaces, Dua Lipa, The Jonas Brothers, Khalid, Ariana Grande and Darius Rucker. What a lineup! There are people in my own house who are very jealous of this list.
This summer Elizabeth is working at The Local Scoop, spending time with friends and volunteering at church camp. She has volunteered at this camp every summer since she was 12 and is excited to go back. She is also thrilled to be seeing Louis Tomlinson in concert and adding his name to the impressive list above! I feel like she might be a big One Direction fan.
East Carolina Bound!
Elizabeth’s next chapter will take place at East Carolina University where she plans to major in Public Relations (PR) and minor in Music. As noted above, music has always been a big part of Elizabeth’s life, and though she doesn’t plan to play the piano full-time, she will continue to study it. She ultimately hopes to combine her interests in PR and music by working on the business side of the music industry. My pre-photography career was in PR so I’m pretty excited to see awesome seniors like Elizabeth attracted to the field. I loved it and have found the skills to be applicable to so many things. She is going to rock it!
Here are a few of my favorites from our time at Camp North End.

Family Pictures at Myers Park United Methodist
The Willis family attends Myers Park United Methodist and mom also works there, so it holds a special place in all of their hearts. I love it too for the gorgeous stonework and beautiful architecture. I’ve photographed several sessions there over the years including a small wedding, a baby’s christening and a senior session for Elizabeth’s brother Jackson. Here are a few of my family favorites from Elizabeth’s Senior+Family photos at their church.
Thank you Willis Family for continuing to trust me to document your family. I love our time together and appreciate the freedom and trust you give me to create. We always have fun and we always make great memories. Thank you for being on this ride with me. Elizabeth – I’m so proud of all that you have accomplished. East Carolina is lucky to have you! Enjoy freshman year and all that college life has to offer. And take the pink top. It’s phenomenal on you.
