Winter is definitely here. In Charlotte, North Carolina old man winter can be fickle. One day he puts on his summer suit and the next day he’s fiercely blowing arctic air. Today winter showed up big time. Even Elsa could take up residence here today. There was ice everywhere .. and because it was so slick and icy, my son spent a good amount of time like this … umm, mom, I’m ready.
I’m overly cautious. I know. But I’d already been outside to walk skate our dog Max around the neighborhood. It was not fun. Today was a lot different than the .0875 Inches of Snow Fun I blogged about last year. But do you remember snow days as a kid? It didn’t matter if it was a dusting of snow or enough white stuff to build a snow tunnel. It was exciting. Poor Jay just wanted to get outside and play in the ice. Eventually I set both kids loose and less than an hour later, we started drying our first load of wet gear. They are snuggled up watching a movie now but the gear is ready for round two of winter ice fun.
