These boho chic senior portraits are some of my favorites of the season thus far. Abby wanted her senior pictures to have a light and airy look. She also wanted to include flowers for a soft, romantic feel. I love when high school seniors get involved in the creative planning process. Together we landed on a location in Waxsaw, North Carolina, just south of Charlotte. I love this location for the wide-open spaces and tall grasses. I knew both would give us the soft and airy look of Abby’s dreams. This session was photographed in late September when most of our large floral blooms are gone for the season. But the tiny yellow flowers in this field (plus the sunflowers I brought) added the perfect finishing touch. Place a gorgeous senior girl in the middle and this is a recipe for stunning boho chic senior portraits.
I’ve worked with Abby’s family for several years now. This was our third photo session. I photographed her older sister’s senior portraits several years ago, then family portraits of all three girls. Abby’s younger sister joined us for this session and jumped in a few pictures. Family members are always welcome at my senior sessions. I love including them in select shots.
Thank you Abby for playing such an active role in the planning process. I love what we created together! Enjoy your senior year!
