Charlotte Catholic just graduated an outstanding young man. So outstanding that he wanted (or at least agreed) to have his family attend his senior portrait session earlier this spring. I’m guessing he wanted them there because as you can see, the family bonds are strong. Meet my new friends the Thornton family. Mom and I have so much in common including friends who connected us (thank you JP!) and a love of both photography and yoga. I was thrilled when she asked me to shoot Andrew’s senior portraits as well as updated family pictures. I always encourage families to attend senior sessions. Yes, a senior portrait session is mostly about the graduating senior but this is also a great opportunity to photograph the whole family before one of them flies the nest. Sad but true. Catholic Graduate Andrew will be flying off to NC State University this fall and he will be missed, not only by his family but by his Charlotte Catholic community. Andrew was Team Captain of both Varsity Cross Country and Varsity Swim & Dive. He won a leadership award for Cross Country and the award for Most Spirit on the Swim & Dive Team. He also won the Scholastic Silver Key Award for Visual Art and was inducted into the National Honor Society. What a year! I’m so happy that I got to be a small part of it by photographing these senior portraits with his family.
Congratulations Andrew! I can’t wait to watch you soar at NC State.
